Position Summary

The VP of Sales position is a consultative sales position within our medium to large business class commercial sales team.  Individuals in this position are responsible for the acquisition and/or upsell of VoIP, MPLS, Internet, Mobility and UC services to new and existing customers.

Job Functions

  • Establish strong relationships with targeted prospects and assigned customers.
  • Responsible for achieving a monthly sales for products listed above.
  • Set targets for outbound calls per day, sales opportunities created and decision maker/ Gate keeper contacts.
  • Conduct consultative needs analysis over the phone with customers.
  • Solution selling.
  • Clearly understand and communicate the company’s value proposition.
  • Design and present complex solutions, and manage customers though the sales process.


  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 5+ years of experience solution selling into large Accounts in assigned territory.
  • Demonstrated success developing complex customer solutions.
  • Strong financial acumen.
  • Demonstrated success & consistency in achieving targeted sales goals.

Skills & Knowledge

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Exceptional customer service and relationship building / maintaining skills.
  • Thorough understanding of account management & the strategic selling process.
  • Complete understanding of Network Topology and Telecommunication services.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint; Salesforce a plus.
