The VP of Sales position is a consultative sales position within our medium to large business class commercial sales team. Individuals in this position are responsible for the acquisition and/or upsell of VoIP, MPLS, Internet, Mobility and UC services to new and existing customers.
- Establish strong relationships with targeted prospects and assigned customers.
- Responsible for achieving a monthly sales for products listed above.
- Set targets for outbound calls per day, sales opportunities created and decision maker/ Gate keeper contacts.
- Conduct consultative needs analysis over the phone with customers.
- Solution selling.
- Clearly understand and communicate the company’s value proposition.
- Design and present complex solutions, and manage customers though the sales process.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 5+ years of experience solution selling into large Accounts in assigned territory.
- Demonstrated success developing complex customer solutions.
- Strong financial acumen.
- Demonstrated success & consistency in achieving targeted sales goals.
Skills & Knowledge
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Exceptional customer service and relationship building / maintaining skills.
- Thorough understanding of account management & the strategic selling process.
- Complete understanding of Network Topology and Telecommunication services.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint; Salesforce a plus.
